Shaped Wood Venetian blinds

The picture here shows a shaped wood venetian blind in 50mm Timberlux Black slats. The minimalist black and white look of the bedroom is completed with this fantastic set of wooden venetians.

Arched wood venetian blinds can be made in 25mm or 50mm slat widths. The head rail is made of a special commercial grade of plastic that can be bent under heat. The tilt and raise mechanisms are held in this head rail.

An arched venetian blind can be face fitted to the window frame. In this case we fitted the blind 50mm in front of the window with top fix brackets. This means there is no interferance with the window handles.

The cost of these blinds is as you would expect higher than standard rectangle venetian blinds but the look is very classy as you can see.

The arched blind is operated with a mono control that combines a lift cord and a tilt rod. There are no hanging cords when the blind is down.

Other options for shaped windows.

The other option for arched windows are plantation shutters which are permanently fixed to your window. These also open and close but use special tilt rods. See our INTERNAL WINDOW SHUTTER page. The other option is arched aluminium venetian blinds. These are similar to the wooden blinds shown but the slats are aluminium.
